Africa Travel Association

The Africa Travel Association (ATA) was established as an international travel industry association in 1975 by Murray Vidockler, a travel agent from Brighton Beach, Brooklyn (USA). More than three decades later, ATA's mission remains the same: to promote travel to and within Africa and intra-Africa partnership as a means to promoting soci-economic development, peace and stability and cultural understanding.

The ATA President is elected from Member Countries sitting on ATA's International Board of Directors every two years. Past Presidents include tourism ministers from Ghana, Benin, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zambia and Tanzania.

More information about ATA can be found on www.africatravelassociation.org
